Ladies and Gentlemen,
Greetings
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I trust you are all feeling
blessed today. I am deeply humbled and honored to stand before this
congregation as your elected secretary.
Let me take this
opportunity to extend a warm welcome to all of you, both our familiar
faces and newcomers who have joined us today, to this wonderful place of
worship. Our doors are forever open to you and we hope you find warmth,
peace, and the unconditional love of God within these walls.
As
your secretary, my role is not just about taking minutes and organizing
church activities. It is about service, commitment, and love towards
each one of you and towards God's work. However, I do not take this task
lightly and promise to perform my duties with the utmost integrity and
transparency.
The bible urges us in Colossians 3:23, “Whatever
you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for
human masters.” I am mindful of this teaching and intend to follow it
with all my heart.
I believe the secretariat provides an
opportunity to serve you, the flock of Christ, and to serve God by
extension. In my new post, I seek the wisdom of God to guide me in
carrying out the responsibilities endowed upon me. I ask for your
prayers, support, and guidance as I assume this office.
Our
church is not just a building; it is a family, united by the Love of
Christ. As we continue along the path God has carved out for us, let's
stand strong in unity, helping and supporting one another. Let's
continue to grow in wisdom and in spirit, walking with Jesus in all our
endeavors.
Thank you once again for your trust and faith in me.
Remember, my door is always open for any ideas, suggestions, or
concerns. Together, may we make this church a beacon of love, hope, and
faith. Thank you, and may God bless us all. In Jesus name, Amen.
